How to read the Therm Score

A quick guide to the indicator, the zones, the badges, and the statistics — without assuming you already know what everything means.

27 · Cold
This marker shows where the asset stands right now on a fixed scale — it isn't a bar that "fills up."
Step 1

The four zones

Step 2

The history chart and the zone strip

Every asset page shows two synchronized charts: the Therm Score and the price, with a thin strip between them marking which zone the asset was in each session. You can visually compare whether a given zone lined up with gains or losses.

Important: that chart is the history of a single asset — an anecdote, not the evidence. The validated statistics (the percentages you see in the text) are calculated across the covered universe as a whole, not for that specific asset.

Step 3

The horizon selector (5 / 10 / 21 sessions)

The Therm Score is a single number each day — it doesn't change based on the horizon. What does change is the statistic shown alongside it: "at 5 sessions, price rose X% of the time" is a different reading from "at 21 sessions, price rose Y% of the time," each calculated separately. Switch the horizon to see the timeframe you care about, not to recalculate the indicator.

Step 4

The badges: what to do when they appear

⚠

Caution — treat the figures for that range with extra caution; they aren't offered with the same backing as the rest.

↓

Weak Trend — the Therm Score is less reliable for this asset right now; a Cold reading here doesn't mean the same thing as it would for a healthy asset.

◔

Limited Data — a recently listed asset; the Therm Score exists but doesn't yet have the same level of calibration as the rest.

What the Therm Score is NOT

  • ✕It doesn't predict future price or set price targets.
  • ✕It isn't a recommendation to buy or sell.
  • ✕It doesn't replace professional financial advice or account for your personal situation.
  • ✕It doesn't analyze company fundamentals (earnings, valuation, sector) — it's a technical indicator.
